چکیده

Functional relations among the fusion hierarchy of quantum transfer matrices give a novel derivation of the TBA equations, namely without string hypothesis. This is demonstrated for two important models of 1D highly correlated electron systems, the supersymmetric t − J model and the supersymmetric extended Hubbard model. As a consequence, " the excited state TBA " equations, which characterize correlation lengths, are explicitly derived for the t − J model. To the authors' knowledge, this is the first explicit derivation of excited state TBA equations for 1D lattice electron systems.

We consider perturbation of a conformal field theory by a pair of relevant logarithmic operators and calculate Zamalodchikov's C function up to two loops. We observe that the renormalization group trajectories are not always along decreasing values of C. However there exists a domain of structure constants in which the c-theorem still holds.

ar X iv : h ep - l at / 9 80 90 22 v 1 4 S ep 1 99 8 1 Hybrid and Orbitally Excited Mesons in Full QCD ∗

We present results for the hybrid meson spectrum produced by gluonic excitations in full QCD using Wilson fermions. For the spin-exotic mesons with J P C = 1 −+ , 0 +− , and 2 +− we find the lightest state to be 1 −+ with a mass of 1.9(2) GeV. Results obtained for orbitally excited mesons are also presented.
